Has anyone seen this dress in person?

I'm thinking of using it as a bridesmaid dress in this colour:

But I'm wondering if it's too casual. It says it's "Cotton/modal rayon/spandex" which sounds like t-shirt fabric to me but I wasn't sure.

I can't be sure, but I saw one like it in the retail full-line store. It was very cute! I was looking at it to wear when I was getting my hair done. I thought it would be cute in pics. Plus, it wouldn't mess up my hair or make-up. Call your local j-crew store and see if they have it in stock. I used to work for j-crew in college and many stores would get items in for you to try on, before you order on-line! Hope this helps! Good luck:)

I'm in Canada so we have no local J Crew stores. sad.gif

I'm okay with it being not as 'bridal' as most bridesmaid dresses. It's just that since it was listed in the beach cover-up section I worry about it being too beachy. And that if the guys are in khaki's and short sleeved button up shirts then the girls will look too under-dressed.

I like it and think it would be great. Your wedding is whatever you want to be. Keep that in mind.

I'm sure this dress will work for many people, it looks sooooo cute! I did try it on because I desperately wanted to minimize my packing for my key west trip and thought buying this in several shades would be awesome since the dress is so versatile. However, no matter how I styled the dress, it was not a great look for me. I am 5' and 3/4" (I know I should just round up!) and I think I'm too short for the dress. However, I do think this would work for those who are a few inches taller. It is a very casual and laid back look, but you should do whatever you want to do for YOUR wedding. Plus, everyone would totally be able to wear this again...most likely the next day! Good luck!

No, you don't need to round up. Us short girls all understand that size does matter, even if that means parts of an inch smile123.gif

BTW, I was 5' 1/2" for the longest time and then I grew to 5' 1" (must be all that time spent soaking my feet in fertilizer - LOL)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
