What do you do after it's all over?

I was talking to FI this morning saying next month at this time we're going to be back at home, and what am I going to do with myself? I won't have anymore planning to do, and it kind of makes me sad. Did anyone else feel the blues after it was over? It has been so consuming over the past year, and then it's just over. cool.gif

It definitely feels weird. For the longest time I kept feeling like I was forgetting to do something. You know, prior to the wedding you had this huge to-do list hanging over your head but then when it's all over that to-do pressure still seems there- at least to me.

Now I've moved on to organizing my pics, creating a slideshow, planning gifts involving my wedding pics- LOL. New obsession I suppose and I'm pretty sure people are probably tired of the wedding stuff.

ugh - i was so happy it was over. but i am not a planner, so i was just happy i was done and married.

but i also was really busy at work, in a relatively new house, and then got knocked up about 6 months later! lol but i have heard of brides say that, that they missed all of the planning. not me!

I don't think it sets in immediately after the wedding because you still have thank you notes, photography stuff, etc. It actually was realy nice to have some down time. I really didn't experiance that until after the holidays as I was MOH in my friend's DW in September and we took a trip in January.

well I got pregnant pretty quickly but my wedding was a big event over the summer and then I went back to work (I am a teacher so I have summers off). Life goes on you do miss it a lot and get so excited for people when they get to plan thier weddings and always offer to help and give advice since I went through it recently. But that's probably why so many of us are still hanging out around here.

Yeah that has to be a weird feeling. After my sister got married she kept saying how strange it was, ha. I guess me and Joe will focus more on buying a new home together and I def want to travel before I have a baby. We wanted to go to Ireland and Australia. I guess we will see what's in store for me! haha

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
