tropical weddings jamaica

I was going to use them. I spoke to the wedding coordinator there and she is great. The prices aren't too bad for a smaller group. Once you get over 50 guests the price almost start to double.

They also have nice full packages and beautiful locations. I decided against them because of the amount of people I was having attend. It would be too costly!!

I hope this helps!!

I was just married in March by Almarie from Tropical Weddings. Everything went so smoothly and was so beautiful. The private, scenic location amazed my guests. Going with Tropical Weddings was the best decision I ever made. Her prices did not even compare to the resorts. Plus it was so private and we did not feel any time pressures. I got everything I wanted and more. My wedding guests are still talking about how amazing my wedding was!! My testimonial is on her site (March 2008 Dina & John) Plus there is a picture of my wedding site set up. If you scroll down to the Tropical Grande Oceanfront. The picture of the pink wedding with the bamboo arch is my wedding.

I've received 2 quotes so far. The first one was $1495 and included everything for the ceremony, a mini-reception with cake & champagne and transportation for up to 10 guest to the cruise to the ship. The second quote was $1195 and didn't include the reception, no flowers, no transportation for the guests (just us), smaller photo package, etc.

I'd be interested to see what others were quoted for her services. I've heard from others that everything is neogotiable in Jamaica. Thought it was a bit odd the first time that her package was scary close to what I told her my budget was. I curious to see if I shot myself in the foot by giving her my budget instead of low-balling it ya know?

At the moment I am always waiting to hear back from Helen G Events. She's been excellent communication wise so far so we'll see how that works out.

All I did was e-mail Almarie my wish list. A list of items I wanted for my wedding.(I had 50 guests) I made it huge, knowing I would not take everything. With the wish list she suggested a package that would be cheapest. I also had her price everything on the wish list so I could pick extra things. After all that is when I gave her my budget! I will pm you the prices I received for everything on my wish list.

I forgot to mention. I had 50 people at my wedding and Tropical Weddings was cheaper then the resort wedding. I knew the base price for a wedding at my resort(with no add ons) I basically knew what the resort wedding was going to cost for 50 guests so I made that my budget price and that is what I gave Almarie. I got a lot more with Almarie than I would have with the resort. The standards do not even compare.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
