Anyone buy the new Knot wedding mag?

Tammy can you tell me why May is the best time to go to the Greek Islands? My FI and I plan to honeymoon there. I was always told by greek people that the summer was the best time. Just curious. Oh and for people doing Cabo I think November and May are the two best times to go. And don't go getting all upset Cabo is pretty much nice all year round so if your wedding is not on the greatest month to go, it doesn't mean that your not going to have an amazing wedding. Plus I will be at all your weddings so that will make it that much more fabulous! LOL.

glenda i was wondering the same thing, being one of the few greeks here(maybe only, i think)

even though the weather May be mild, the waters are freezing, imagine trying to take a bath in ice water. I have had a random cousin tell me how they went to the beach in the spring.. but that is not the norm.

July is good time to go. August is crazy, but more chance of a heat wave, and every greek is on vacation until the aug15... so if you wait and leave NY after aug 20th, the flights will be cheaper and the weather is still fab, and the islands wont be as packed as in the middle of august(read every greek from queens is on thier way back by then)

if you really are considering going, i can totally give you some help..

sorry for the long message

Here is what it says for May..

Why: This month is just prior to their high season so it may be pricier, but the perfect honeymoon weather and fewer tourist is worth every penny.

Where to stay: Hidden on the western end of Santorini, the tiny Katikies Hotel (from $337) hangs more then 300 feet cliffside above a brilliant blue water basin. With it's winding stairways, terraced verandas, infinity pools and island antiques, the place exudes a romantic glow that may rival your own.

Honeymoon must: The resort is revered for White Cabe Restaurant, a one-of-a-kind eatery tucked inside a secluded cave over looking the sea. With only three tables in teh place, you'll feel the entire staff is there for just the two of you.

*If the date's not doable: Try to go during the off-season in Mid September to October (weather is just as perfect, but the prices are often much cheaper)

Hope this helps Glenda...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
