Summer, I answered your question about the DL# and credit card in your other thread but I provided WIP with my info and had no problems. WIP was priced at about what I've seen the other brides pay for their WC. The reason I decided to use them is because like you I didn't know who to trust. I was hesitant to try and make arrangements with the Cabo vendors directly (before I found this forum) thinking I'd pay them and they might not show up. WIP guarantees all the vendors they recommend and rather than paying your vendors individually, you pay WIP and they handle payments to the vendors. I figured this would make it easier for me.

 

I went for a site visit last September and met Katie for the 1st time. At that point I had only given them $200 thinking if I decided not to use them for whatever reason I'd only lose $200 so no biggie. My site visit was the same week there was a hurrucane in Cabo & I could't get in tought with WIP before I left. I was a little worried but once I got there, totally relieved. Katie picked my mom & I up from our hotel just as she had agreed, even though her house had flooded in the hurricane days before. She spent about 8 hours with us showing us multiple venues. When I went for my visit I hadn't decided on a location yet. She had a great rapport with all of the locations. I initially wanted a villa wedding and she was able to show us villas that I know other brides couldn't see without having to pay a fee. So after meeting her I was sold :)

 

Anyway, she has been totally professional. Communication with her & her office is very easy. They have a toll free # that makes it easy to call from here and when I email her with questions I generally have a response within an hour or a two. You'll notice that dealing with the other vendors in Cabo they can take days to respond. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Wow ladygrey you're date is almost here! off topic, but have you met Katie yet? I love her & have had a great experience working with her! I can't wait to hear about how your big day goes with her!!

No, I have yet to meet her, but looking forward to finally putting a face to the voice. I agree...she's been so great to work with...I'll let you know how everything goes when I return...it's hard to beleive the wedding is in two weeks...I get butterflies when I think about it...

I just noticed you were from OC...what part?...I grew up in Huntington Beach and moved to the bay area about 10 years ago...I miss Socal A LOT!!!!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
