Renting the Disco (ROR)

If you rent the Disco for the evening they open the bar up in there so you are able to buy drinks correct? I dont need to worry about these open bar questions (I hope)

I believe the cost of the disco covers the bar at no additional cost. Hopefully another bride can jump in.

 

If you do Seagrape beach bar it is $10 a person to open the bar.

Yes, the cost of $250 covers the DJ & open bar for 2 hours.

You can rent it longer, but you would have to rent earlier so that it could still open at 11pm to everyone. The nightly entertainment ends around 10-10:30 and the Disco is where people head. It's located right next to the stage. If you tried to keep it private after 11 I'm sure you would have some crashers!

Does the DJ get with you ahead of time to find out what type of music you want played? Or how does that work?

Nope. You can give Chandlyn a playlist to give to him or you can burn some CDs and ask him to play them. He had all the basic wedding stuff and then played some current radio stuff but i'm sure he takes requests too. We just gave him a CD with our first dance, and then told him when we were ready to do garter/bouquet toss and he did the rest.

Do you remember if he played a good selection of reggae/dancehall music? What about old school rap/hip-hop and R&B? I might bring a CD with some old school stuff...I would hope he has the reggae stuff covered!
