This morning I woke up, so kindly, to FI mowing the lawn..... at 830 am. I was pissed. Not only because I never sleep in and he was mowing the lawn while I was sleeping in, but also becuse of the neighboors. I think 830 am is too early to mow the lawn. He argues it's not.
What do you think? What is the OK starting time to mow the lawn on a weekend?

um, right now i'd be ok if doug mowed the lawn at ANY time of the day or night, it's looking pretty bad right now. the 5 LB dogs can barely find a path to pee
anyways, i think that at the absolute earliest, 9am or 10 am, but i guess it depends on your neighborhood. and if it's your own FI, you'd think they would be more sensitive! jerk

During the weekday, 8:30am is fine, on the weekend, I'd be pissed too. Actually I'd be pissed during the weekday because I never get any sleep, but because it's the weekday it's more forgivable.
That said when we lived in an apt the maintanence people would be out at 7:30am every morning mowing the damn lawn. I so wanted to throw various objects at them. It was very annoying.

We have neighbors who do it really early too, I think anytime after 8 is fine. When its hot outside you have to do it when its the coolest possible.

I think 10am is the "good neighbor" law.. at least for us it is.. At least fresh cut grass smells awesome! sorry.. that's the only positive spin I could put on it.

I think it totally depends on where you live and the time of year. Like PP said if it gets hot quick then IMO I would mow early in the morning as well.

Thats a tough one. I agree neighbor friendly would be after 10... but after taking into consideration weather and peoples schedueles I would say overall antyime after 8.

I think 8:30 is just a tad early --- out of respect for neighbors, I'd say any time after 9 a.m.
