DJ: Mannia Cancun review

Recommended Posts

I booked Mannia Cancun on July 10, 2009 for my wedding that took place at The Royal PDC. They were AWESOME! I had Carlos as my DJ...not Carlos Martinez...it was a different Carlos and he was seriously sooooooooo great! There seems to be some confusion with Mannia Cancun. Mannia Cancun has about 12 different DJ's and I'm confident that all of them are really good at what they do. Seriously, my guests kept raving about them and we had every single person...all 57 of us...dancing the night away!!! They are the best of the best. Sergio, Carlos and the team were a pleasure to work with.

Btw, I suggest that every bride meet with them a few days beforehand to go over the music selection that you want played at your wedding. We met with Sergio a few days before our wedding and everything was perfect on the actual day. I actually wrote a separate review on Mannia Cancun. See link below.

I just wanted to go on here to help clarify that Mannia Cancun has different DJ's and although I did not have Carlos Martinez as my DJ...my DJ was still FANTASTIC. I highly, highly, highly recommend them. They are worth every penny.

I just booked DJ Mannia for our wedding in Tulum in December. So far I have been very impressed with them, they get back to you very quickly which is great. The one piece of advice I have is to ask them to do a paypal request instead of sending a money wire. My money wire didn't go through, even though I sent it exactly as instructed. I was able to get my money back but still had to pay the $20 money wire transfer fee. I sent them an email asking if I could do it through paypal after that all happened, and they wrote back right away saying that would be fine. So use paypal! So far I'm really impressed with them.

We got married a month ago at Dreams Cancun, where Mannia is the prefered vendor. I sent him a list of music i like a week before the wedding, and they did an AMAZING job. Unfortunately I do not know the name of my specific DJ, but I'm sure they are all very good. Kept the entire group dancing, was very responsive to requests, and as I changed my mind about the order of things as the reception went on, he just rolled with it and did what I asked as if it was the original plan. I was very very happy with the choice.

My fiancee (now wife!) and I hired Mannia Cancun to provide DJ services for two wedding events we had last week in the Riviera Maya.  We hosted 115 guests for an Indian destination wedding.

Our first event was the "Sangeet/Mehndi" and was held at the Azul Sensatori resort. The second event was our wedding reception held at Marina Maroma.

The DJ services were perfect.  We couldn't ask for anything more especially since we wanted a mix of Top40, Mid-90s hip hop, Classic Rock and Indian (Bollywood and Bhangra).  Mannia Cancun had a comprehensive collection of Indian music and required very little guidance in terms of what type of music to play and when.  Our guests were thrilled and pleasantly surprised with the Indian music.

Our wedding reception was AMAZING.  The dance floor was packed and was one of the craziest parties we have ever been to / hosted.  For us, 3 things were important for hosting any event: good music, good food and lots of alcohol. We had all three which made for an amazing night. :-)

Mannia Cancun also provided robotic lighting, projector and screen for a slideshow and indoor cold fireworks which went off after our first dance.

We would recommend Mannia Cancun without hesitation.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
