Booked and ready to go! (almost...):)

Recommended Posts

Well, it is finally official: we're booked in at Shangri-La Caribe for Friday, December 12! elefant.gif

There is still so much left to do and I keep getting emails every day from one of the websites I subscribed too, counting dow the days!

Anyway, thought I'd re-introduce myself, since I will probably be online a lot more in the coming months.

Let the real planning begin!friday.gif

Welcome, and Congratulations Andrea! I am still looking for a location, and Shangri-La Caribe looks amazing! I couldn't find any wedding package information from the web-site, Would you mind sharing any information you may have on this resort?

Thanks and Congrats again!! smile159.gif

Thanks, girls! :)smile03.gif

riviera, I think it's going to be perfect :) I love the place and the wedding coordinator there, Christine, has been amazing. She is in touch very quickly via email and answers all of my questions, no matter how crazy.

They have about 2 or 3 wedding packages available.

All of the reservations are made through the Turquoise Reef group/Mexico holiday, so if you go to their site, you will see much more info on the hotel and the rooms and you can check availability as well.

You have to put down a $500 deposit to hold your date.

Crap! I should have mentioned immediately: They are closing eventually, because the site is going to be razed and they're putting up condos.

Christine told me April 2009, but it could be later. That said, I don't think I'd want to have a wedding much past January to be safe.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
