Does anyone know of any Mexican Trio type bands for hire in the area? I have had a hard time finding any online. The ones through my resort seem to be very expensive (about $700 an hour, with a 15 minute break). I would like to find something cheaper.

Hola,

I should be able to point you in the right direction. Please tell me what type of music style you want the band to play? I am new to this board so if I do not spot your post in the next day or so, please get in touch with me, I don't want to leave you hangning.

Be careful about bringing in an outside vendor. The hotel that we picked charged $80US per outside vendor/guest for day passes.

It ended up being cheaper for us to pay $850 for 45 minute mariachi band provided by the hotel!

Hope this helps!

Thanks for warning me, BeachBride. One of the best things I've found about the Hilton so far is that they do not charge at all to bring in outside vendors!

The Hilton is doing the right thing by not charging, and personally I had no idea that resorts in Cancun were still doing this. I find it really ties people's hands and forces them to choose something they otherwise may not want.

I wonder, has anyone else run into the same issue, where a resort forced you to hire their pre-selected musical groups? If so, can you name the resort and when it happened? I think this would be so helpful for everyone to know, in advance of booking a resort to hold a wedding.

Thanks in advance,

    • Hello all!! I'm planning to get married next week. I'm working in an MNC and I'm gonna marry my colleague who is in my company. It's been ten months since we have started our relationship. He used to support in all my difficulties and used to help me in my work. Always he used to tell me about my smile. He says that I have a very good smile and he loves it. Recently I lost my front tooth after an accident and it resulted in a bad look for me. He told me that I lost my beautiful smile. I was totally disappointed and thought of finding a solution. I heard about dental dentures and took an appointment at a clinic in Scarborough. Will dentures affect my speech? What was your experience of getting dentures?
    • Go for the third one. It is gorgeous and you will look stunning in that. I'm sure you will be noticed by other people. Go for it.
    • I would suggest the long one. You will look stunning in that. It is simple and elegant.
    • Both the gown are awesome and I'm sure you will look gorgeous in both. But I would suggest the first one. Go for it and Congratulations for your marriage.
    • Hello everyone,  I am still engaged, still not planning the big day, because we haven't chosen a date + we have some family stiff to do so I hope that this forum will help me a lot before the real craziness during the wedding planning period. Happy to be here
