Duggar Family Pregnant with 18th Child

A couple of weeks ago, I went to a speaker over lunch that said he had NINETEEN brothers and sisters. Throughout the rest of the talk, I couldn't focus on the subject because I just kept thinking about how it was possible to have 20 children!

I think our taxes are helping to support their 18th, 17th, 16th, etc, children!

Honestly, I think this is cruel. They do make their children do a lot of the work. They keep their kids at home for schooling and wear hand-me-downs. I am not condemning anyone who cannot financially afford to purchase their clothing however, why are you intentionally having more kids if you can't provide for the one's you have?

I'm not surprised! I have a hard time believing that they are having all these children for the right reason-because they want them or that they enjoy the publicity. I also can't figure out how her uterus hasn't ruptured already! Even more, I wonder how she even has any bladder control after carrying and delivering all those babies?

I'll admit though, I'll watch them on TLC because it is all so ridiculous, that it is fascinating!

I think their family works great... they're all loving and well adjusted kids. They really care about their siblings and making the family work isn't a chore, it's just how things work. They aren't caught up on silly materialist items like some families.

Have you seen the house they built? It's huge and they built it from the ground up.. the entire family.

I personally thinks it's fabulous how they've worked out their systems and only hope that I do as good of a job raising kids... even if I only have one or two.

Their oldest kids are already learning trades.. college isn't the only way to get an education.

I think I would go crazy. Like seriously, out of my mind nutso.

All the debate of whether or not it's fair to thier kids aside, I could never do this for purely selfish reasons... mainly that I can't imagine how wrecked my body would be after all those babies and secondly, I don't think I could give up so much of my life to raising children.

Kudos to them for making it work. Not even in my wildest dreams would I do anything even close though.

I just don't understand how the children get enough attention from their parents. They're a very loving, well-adjusted family (from what I've seen on their show) but in my opinion, one-on-one time with your parents is very important to me & I don't see how they can provide equal time to their children....

And also it's great to learn a trade - but were they pushed into thst direction or felt it was necessary? I mean it's a great career, but maybe they only got involved because it would help the family out. Maybe they really want to be a chef, or a banker, or a clown for all we know! lol

I just think that enough's enough.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
