This sounds like another good (free) idea :)

Yes, I made the reservations for the day of our arrival through the WC... I just sent her an email and asked if she could make them for us, and it's not a problem.

I have my confirmation but who knows... this has been going on for weeks...I am hoping for May 6th, 2008 at 6:30pm on the beach with about 60 guests and then staying on the beach for a reception. We also want to do the bonfire... Still havent decided on a photographer I love Juan but hes not available... Trying to find a rental company for either white folding chairs or Chivari style chairs as I dislike chair covers so much! Any help would be appreciated! I am looking forward to Sarahs big day and her pictures in the upcoming weeks....

thanks

In the beginning, getting ahold of her is very frustrating... Did you complete the reservation form and everything onlinehuh.gif You should be fine if you have done that. Also, you won't hear much from her until you get a little closer to your date. Again, very frustrating, but that seems to be the way that they work. I would just keep emailing & things ~ she will get back to you.

I have personally stayed at the resort for vacation & our surprise engagement last year. I went to the salon for a couples massage and a manicure & pedicure. The massage was absolutely wonderful but the manicure & pedicure was okay. I saw a couple of brides get their hair done for weddings and it looked very nice but I am not sure about make up. Can't wait to here about some other experiences......

I am having them do my hair and if needed redo my manicure. I will do my own makeup. I do know that it is suggested you make your appointments ahead of time, the spa gets busy ~ or so I'm being told. Now, have I made my appointment yet? No, but it's on the list. Plus, I'm not stressing becuase if I have to, Jay's mom is a stylist, and I'll make her do my hair. :-)

I have talked to one other bride about the salon and they are great with the hair but the makeup isn't so great. She had a friend do hers. I think I am going to book my hair appointment and maybe a trial there and figure out the makeup later.

Maybe when we finally get a review from Sarah we will know for sure. I cannot wait to hear from her - anyone know when she gets back?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
