Im doing both but something simple like either mini tequila bottles or M&M's in Mexico's colors.. nothing fancy! But I think it is totally fine not to do favors.. the bags are a lot. Only reason I am doing them is because my mom decided to pick this up for me! Or else No favors!

If your doing OOT town bags and are expected to also give out favors a nice favor may be to make a donation to a special cause in honor of your guests. We are giving a donation to St. Jude's Childrens hospital. You donate howeve much money you would like and they will send you however many bookmark/scrolls you need.

We are doing OOT bags and favours.

For our reception favours we are giving out handmade wine charms and something else- I haven't decided yet.

Our OOT bags are going to be a collection of practical and unique things. I'm like the previous poster, I love shopping and giving gifts.

  • 2 weeks later...

I am also doing both OOT bags & favors...

We decided to give out edible favors: jellybeans in our wedding colors (yellow-pineapple flavored & white-coconut flavored..yummy:) in this really cute mini suitcase favor tin. Here's the link:

Mini Suitcase Favor Tins, Destination Wedding Favors, Travel Themed Party Favors

I personally think guests would expect a favor at the end of the evening, no matter how small...

But fsil had her wedding in mexico a couple of years ago and she gave out margarita drink mix packets, they were really cute and easy to bring with you. I'm sure you could get them for a decent price.
those albums are great! Where are you getting them from?

We're only doing the OOT bags as our reception is going to be very casual.

We are doing both as well.

The oot bags will be given to our guests when they arrive to the resort by us, kinda like a meet and greet. The bags are filled with practical stuff (first aid kits, chapstick, sunblock, bath fizzs, postcards, cookies, & spanish for dummies book).

For favors we are doing Personalized CDs of "our songs" for everyone, cigars for men, and scented candles for the women.

I'm another shopper and money spender! ;o)

We did both OOT bags and favors. We had 125 guests and 120 of them stayed at our host hotel, but we still opted to do both. We did personalized shot glasses and had them on the tables at the wedding reception. We ordered then through a vendor that our hotel coordinator knew so we didn't have to ship them. We paid $5 a piece. They were delivered to the hotel. We just had to bag them. I used organza bags from Paper Mart Packaging Store.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
