What Day of the week are you/did you have your ROR wedding?

Recommended Posts

We also arrived late Saturday, were married Tuesday, and left the following Saturday. It worked great because we were able to truly relax and enjoy ourselves after the wedding!

I am having mine on Friday September 5th, 2008. I thought that a Friday would be good for guests and that way if they just wanted to fy in for the weekend they could. Most of my guests are actually arriving on Wednesday Sept 3rd.

I think the time of year makes more of a difference than the day of the week. We got married on a saturday in April and there were 2 other weddings, but I honestly didn't notice on the day of. But on the thursday before our wedding there were 4 weddings and the times were super close, like 12:30, 2, and 2:30. Our guests all stayed Thur-Monday, and we stayed Wed- Sat (10days)

We are flying in with our guests on a Saturday and getting married on the thursday. That way they have one day to recover from the party before getting on the plane on Saturday.

We will be heading to another resort for our honeymoon so I am not worried about us!

Our wedding was on a Friday. We got there on Tuesday, our guests arrived on Wednesday & Thursday and we all left on Sunday. To me, time flew by & it was just too quick! We had so much fun that we all could've used another 2-3 days to relax more.

And like Courtney said, there were other weddings on the same day as mine but I didn't notice them at all.

thanks for all your comments. I didn't even think about what day we were flying in. I would ideally want to arrive a couple days before the wedding and have time to set up and what not and have my quest fly in the day of or day before. But they all want to fly in together. I really would want it on a mon-thur but Jan 22 is my fiance birthday and he really wanted it on that day.. well see what happens :)

Thanks again!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
