I have to pick your brain some more one of these days.

I heard the cake they supply is kinda crappy, were you worried about this? I'm not, but for some absurd reason James is - which is weird seeing as he doesn't like cake!
Yes the cake was kind of crappy compared to most wedding cakes but that wasn't a big concern of mine to be honest. It was super YUMMY though. Mmmm I wish i would have saved a piece but it was so melted to begin with.

A horrible photo but it's all I got

Actually Mel, that's perfect! I think he just wants the look, we were hoping not to have to upgrade to get it.

Your pictures are so nice, I'm always wow'd by them. We want to do the gazebo too, but they tell us our group may be too big!

I actually brought some star fish and flowers to put on the cake but I forgot the day of the wedding. Like I said before no big deal to me, I didn't even get my photog to take photos of the cake cutting.. I think it was close to midnight by the time we cut the cake. haha

Thanks for the comment on my photos! Once you get your photos you will become obsessed with them too :0) Seriously they are very addicting making projects and stuff.

How big is your group again? Ours was 55 and it worked fine.

Ours is going to be around the same size I think...good to know! We were under the impression that it maxed out at 45 to use the gazebo.

Was there enough room in the gazebo for everyone? (I know you did have a few people outside, but how many were in?)

Thanks Tod!

I miss it a lot - I think we'll end up moving back one day.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
