All 55 of our guests were very impressed and I think they all said they would go back in a heart beat.

Good point! A few of our guests took the bus into PV (it's only 10 pesos) and said it was a fun experience. Although it wasn't the experience for me, instead we took cabs. Be sure to negotiate the price of the cab BEFORE you get in other wise they can rip you off. It cost us $18 each trip which wasn't bad as long as you made a day out of it in PV. Buccerias is very close which has all the markets and shopping too. It's cheaper than PV as well, cabs are only $5 to get there.

We just got back from our daughter's wedding at the Riu Vallarta, just a couple of hotels down from the Riu Jalisco (there is soon to be another Riu, which I believe will be called Pacifico opening summer 200cool.gif. Anyway, some of the people in our group walked back and forth to Buccerias, or walked one way and cabbed the other (it was $7 each way last week). Most found it to be cheaper and easier than Puerto Vallarta.

Thanks!!

I think you may be the only one so far, although there is someone else booked there too.

I have to pick your brain some more one of these days.

I heard the cake they supply is kinda crappy, were you worried about this? I'm not, but for some absurd reason James is - which is weird seeing as he doesn't like cake!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
