Hey girls

How much do you plan on spending for your BM thank you gifts. I have 4 BM, so I was thinking around $100 each.

I have gotten then a cute starfish necklace, paying for their hair, I want to get them a cute pair of flip flops and I might buy their shoes.

Do you think this is enough or is it cheap?

Thanks for your help

Sarah

Those are very JCrew looking Janet.

I bought my girls their necklaces and will probably get them one other thing...the necklaces were about $60.

  • 4 weeks later...

I only have one BM & I bought her dress ($100), I am going to give her a very pretty starfish necklace that was approx $45. I am also paying for her hair & make up ($225) up as well as a pedicure the day before the wedding ($50). Wow - that's $420!!! I think I'm good...

Andrea - that is a very generous thing for your bridal party! That is wonderful if you can do it.

I spent just under $100/ea for mine. I had 5 girls and I made little "spa" baskets for them. Just yummy bath/spa stuff, some really amazing candles and bathrobes. They all seemed to like their stuff - the robes and candles in particular seemed to be a hit.

I do really like all your ideas about getting them something "useful" too...like paying for the hair, or maybe mani/pedi etc. The plane ticket idea is very nice too! I'm sure they would be thrilled!

Just in case you're interested....here are some site for the candles. The salon I go to sells them but I haven't really seen them anywhere else. They are my favorite candles in general but esp. to give as gifts - they burn SO well (long lasting etc) and have a great collection of scents available. The ones I chose for the BM gifts were actually called Wedding...and they seriously smell amazing! It's too bad we can't smell things online!

The first one is the official site - for some reason I can't get it to load properly - not sure if it's just my crappy work computer or the page iteself.

Voluspa Candles, Gifts, fragrant incense aromatic room spray

This next one is a site that sells those candles as well.

I look on ebay a lot, they have all kinds of starfish necklaces. I actually bought a crystal starfish off of ebay and want to make a necklace to wear for the wedding, the necklaces that have a couple of wires and have little beads throughout the wires (my description is horrible) I have a client that I set up that owns a bead kiosk thing, and while I don't want something with lots of beads, I know they can help me create the necklace I want, and even if its not right for the wedding I'll find something to wear it for!!

Also, I did searches for starfish jewelry and found tons of sites, but they're all so different, I'm sure you can find something you'll like!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
