We are already spending $4,000 on a band because the music is important to my FI. My mother just informed me that she wants to give us money but I feel bad taking it but it would help. WOW, $4000 for the band?? I would definetely spend the $4200 on the photographer to have great photos to look back on . . . no questions asked. You can't go wrong with Del Sol from what I've seen of their work.

I'm one of the few brides out there who is not into photography, so we are not spending a ton on it. I am personally not really interested in much professional photography. I'm truly happy with what my family will take and the candids we get. So we are getting a very basic photography package that is around $1000.

How'd you find a band?? I've been so nervous about finding a band in Cancun! Did you get a chance to listen to them before you booked? I'm afraid to book one without hearing them first...

We are getting married in Costa Rica and I had friend that lives there recommended a great young photographer. I really like her work and she has been very responsive and extremely enthusiastic.

Our package is $2000.00 and includes:

Engagement Session 2 hrs -$300.00/45 images high and low res.

Rehearsal Dinner 3 hrs-$300.00/ 200 images

Bride Prep - Ceremony, Couples Session and Reception 8 hours - $1200.00/ 300 images

Expenses - $200.00 includes, trans, accommodation and food for 2 days.

I also added a provision to our contract limiting the use of the wedding photo's on photographer's website. Establishing that they need to be approved by us and no more than four images.

Good Luck!

our friends got married outside of Cancun last year and recomended the band Kiko and Carlos. they have a website where you can see their song list and hear their music. They charge $900/hr but if you compare that to what you would spend in the US, its a bargan! The couple were very pleased and had a great time! I'll have to look up their web address but you could try googling them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
