Riu Palace Los Cabos - Tips & Advice

Recommended Posts

Hi There,

I am just starting to plan my wedding at the Riu Palace Los Cabos. I should have confirmation from the WC early next week on the 13th or 14th of November. I have selected the Caprice package which says it includes supper for your wedding group - is that the entire wedding group - all 80 that the package covers?? As well I have selected the beach for our locations and am wondering how nicely it will be set up without an additional decorations.

If anyone has anything for tips and advice please let me know.

Thanks,

Tanya

Hi Tanya,

I got married at Riu Santa Fe, assuming the rules are the same; our package covered dinner for the entire group. We went to the Palace for Dinner one night, its grounds are beautiful. The set up is pretty nice, ask them to send you pictures. Also, the gazebo is beautiful as well. Good luck with everything.

I just got married at the palace on April 12. I saw some receptions on the beach and they were beautiful - White table clothes and chairs covered in white. You do have some options for bows covering the chairs as well. I went to WalMart in Cabo and bought Candles and Vases for my centerpieces, but it would be beautiful without. I will post pictures of the set up soon.

Hey Sarah! It's nice to hear your positive review of your wedding at the Riu! We are getting married on October 16th, and I am in the process of booking Bradley for our photog. From what I have read, his prices are reasonable and he does great work! If you have any pieces of advice, just post back!

We will be getting married at the gazebo overlooking the beach, and will most likely have our dinner at the Terrace (not sure of the formal name). Did you do your hair and makeup at the salon on the resort?

Nadia :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
