I would hate the waiting too. Luckly the photographer that I booked is going to have the pics back to us in 2-3 days, and all the other goodies will be done within a week so we can bring it home with us. The only thing we have to wait for is the video, and they mail that out.

I haven't been on the forum because I'm trying to survive finals ... Maura is right - we got married on March 8 and I still don't have pictures ... I have gotten a couple of teaser in the last week or so ...

I completely understand your hesitancy to say anything --- I didn't want to "rush" him because I was afraid the pictures would suffer --- however, we finally broke down and voiced our frustration. He says that we'll have ours in a few days. In January, after reading some of the frustrations from brides last fall, I asked when I could expect to have the pictures. He told me that I would DEFINITELY have my pictures by April because he wasn't shooting many weddings in March and he had friends coming in ... but in the last email I got he says that he usually tells brides 3 months ... is this what you were told?

Yes, originally he told me three months. But then, about a month before my wedding, he emailed me and asked if he could order some computer editing equipment and have it shipped to me to bring down to Cabo for him (which of course I did.) When we met up a few days before the wedding to give him his stuff, he said these things were going to help make editing the pics so much faster and I would have my pics even quicker. He didn't say how quick exactly. And to this day I still haven't emailed him. Like you said, I don't want to add any pressure. I would rather wait a little longer and know my pics will be GREAT!!! However, he did tell me over 2 weeks ago that I would have a couple of teaser pics in a few days, and I still haven't received anything. I'm not sure if I should ask again.

I really am trying to be patient. I want him to work his magic without any pressure. It's just so exciting and I can't wait to see them.

I think it is totally normal and appropriate to ask for a teaser photo. I refuse to believe there isn't enough to time to load a few photos, adjust them, and send them off. It keeps the bride/grooms nerves at bay just seeing that the photos are wonderful. I think you have been very patient considering he told you a few days and that time line has passed. No one would accept this from any other profession. If you went to a restaurant and ordered dinner from a fine chef and were told it would be 30 minutes you wouldn't hesitate to ask after your meal if one hour had passed and you still hadn't tasted anything.

Oh, I understand how you feel! When I do a shoot, I immediately go home and plug in the memory card and start editing, even if I've been shooting for 12 hours straight and am completely exhausted. It's just as exciting for us, I think. We get really, really swamped sometimes though, and I'm sure your photographer wants everything to be beautiful and perfect for you. It will be totally worth the wait. :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
