I had my first fitting today for my dress and it went great. It totally fits BUT it still need a bustle. Well its gonna cost $200 for the bustle.....is that normal? Here are some pics. I dont really have any of the back but I'll put a pic of the model up too so you can get an idea.

I paid $300 for bustle, to take in the top and shorten dress. But I can see why yours is expensive, all the fabric on the back probably requires a lot more work. BTW, the dress is beautiful and you look perfect in it!

Gorgeous, gorgeous dress!!! And yes, $200 (especially for that dress) sounds reasonable, actually. I paid $450 for my alterations - all they needed to do was bustle it, shorten the shoulder straps, and do the hem. And my dress's fabric wasn't as intricate as yours. Prepare yourself for the wedding dress related costs....I had to pay $95 just to clean it after the wedding!

Ok, so now I dont feel so bad. I didnt know if $200 was too much or not. I'm just glad nothing else needs to be done.

Thanks for all the compliments. I'm getting more and more excited!

I love you dress and you look so pretty in it. I was given a quote about $200 for the bustle. And yeah, I had the same question - didn't seem that big of a deal to do a bustle, but it may be because of the material they're dealing with. You would think for the price you pay for the dress, all of that should come with the package =)
