Wedding is fast approaching and freaking out

Recommended Posts

Well okay, I'm not REALLY freaking out, but I have gotten very anxious lately, just worrying about the little details. I have been totally calm and cool up until last week. The wedding is in less than two weeks and I am so excited, but also feel so rushed doing all these last minute things. I have been having wedding dreams almost every night now! I have been doing so much work for the wedding the past four months and I just can't believe the big day is almost here. I'm really glad now that we're getting married the second day we're there so less time to be nervous and will be able to relax shortly after. I'm definately looking forward to the wedding day, but will also be glad it's finally over so I can stop working, living, and breathing wedding. I don't remember what life was like before wedding planning - I must have had a lot of free time, lol! How are the rest of you May brides feeling? Please tell me I'm not alone!

Although I am not a May bride I would imagine your feelings are totally normal and expected (including the increased wedding dreams). How are your plans going? Sounds like pretty good. Do you have everything in order? Maybe make a check list of what you need each day and double check you have those things. Would that make you feel more at ease just a little?

I feel like I'm so anxious and stressed, but really haven't been actually doing anything wedding-related. I agree that I am so excited, but can't wait til it's over so I can stop thinking/breathing/living "wedding"!

I am anxious but I can't pin point WTF I need to do! I swear it's all done but what if it's not. Today is the last day I am at home and with my precious lap top. Not to mention that it is going to rain on our wedding day (60% chance) we have a back up but it's not my ideal situation.

Focus on relaxing and leave the rest to my planner and God ( Dear God, Please love me tons on Friday and have it be bright and sunny from 3pm-5:45pm..amen)

uuuuughhh.

I've definitely had my moments too, but overall I'm excited. I haven't really had a lot of time to focus on the upcoming day because my company's annual conference starts tomorrow for a week and I have SOOOOOOO much crap to do for it that my focus has been divided. girl_werewolf.gif (Maybe it wasn't the smartest idea to plan my wedding for a week after the conference...)

I have been having dreams about tornadoes though (like I'm caught in one) and I think it's definitely symbolic! LOL!

I'm trying not worry about the small things though. For the most part, I'm ready. I will admit that I have fears that my guests won't like my selections and wedding choices, gift bags, etc., but that's super minor--I know it's all in my head! 16 days and counting...

You are not alone!!! I too feel extremely anxious, but very excited. Try no to worry too much and enjoy your day and you'll see everything else will work out.

A piece of advice my friend gave me: Don't worry about what your guest will or not like. Focus on you and your hubby 2B. Your guess are going to be there for you and that's all they care about.

We are all going to have amazing weddings!!!!

I'm a June bride and panic is about to set in. Mainly because there are a few upgrades I would like to do for the ceremony but I don't know if I can justify the price. I'm also really mad at myself for not being focused on losing weight, bleaching my teeth, etc. I'm also having nightmares that I will be in some disfiguring accident or fal and break my leg before the wedding! LOL. I think it might be time for some crazy pills!

Glad to know I'm not alone! And a few things have happened in the last few weeks too, that really are just bad luck I guess. Like one of our guests had emergency surgery 2 weeks ago, but hopefully she will be better by the time we leave. It was a small surgery, so she thinks she will be fine by then. Last week my dad fell off a ladder and cracked a rib, which takes at least 6 weeks to heal. And last night one of my guest's grandfather got taken in to hospital for some heart problems. I'm hoping no one else gets sick or injured!! Not that I'm being selfish or anything, but I would just feel really bad if someone had to cancel and lose the money they spent on the trip on top of being injured.

Well I must start my day and do more wedding stuff. Everyone take care! Will check in later. This forum is a great resource, but also a great distraction, lol!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
