How windy is Dreams/Cabo?

Recommended Posts

For my outdoor reception, I was envisioning a lot of candles, but I am wondering if will be too windy outdoors for candles.

For those of you that had outdoor receptions, how did your candles hold up, and what kind did you use?

It would be a bummer to have all kinds of candles and then not be able to keep them lit.

I have read a lot of reviews that said May was pretty windy.

I went there in September and was praying for a breeze to come through to cool us down.

I think it depands on when you go but I wouldnt thing July would be that windy.

How about still having candles but just with a huricane around them.

How does everybody get the hurricanes and votives there? Do you take them in your luggage, ship them, or buy them in Cabo somewhere? I'm worried about going over on the weight of each of my luggage allowances, and would rather buy some of these things there, but if there's a better way that I should know the help and information would be appreciated!! Thanks!

I was just there this past March and there wasn't enough wind to worry about. It was great weather, not too hot. There was a little bit of dampness after sundown. I've been there twice now and each time, the weather has been spectacular. I have to yet to go in July though.

I bought small votives at Michaels that I am bringing down but I am having Dreams provide the hurricanes with the candles...3 of them (different sizes) including candles was $20/table. Way worth it and then you dont have to worry about things breaking in your luggage!!

OOh that's great to know about the hurrican vases with candles. Do you have any idea about how big they are?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
