My fiance and I are getting married at the Bavaro Princess as well! We are planning for March 2010. I have heard great things about this place from 2 people I know...one of which got married there herself....she didn't have one complaint - which is a huge relief....and makes me feel more comfortable about our choice of resort. I appreciate any feedback from anyone on the resort....do you think it gets dark early in March as well??

Hey,
Thanks for the info. I just had a few quick questions. I was looking at the wedding packages and for the private gala dinner in the conference room, it says it costs $670 per person. Im guessing that must be a mistake right? Do you kno what the actual price might be?

Also, it says that for the beach party, you need a minimum of 40 people; you think they would be ok with lets say 35 people?

Ok and here might be a really silly question and i appologize...im still a beginner *lol* here it goes anyway... embarrest.gif
Is it mandatory to get a wedding package? or could i just pay separate fees for such thing as the ceremony site (gazebo) and the cake? And one more silly question and i promise im done embarrest.gif So if you have to purchase the wedding package, is your trip included in that? I kno its a bad question lol but these packages are so ridiculously expensive and i dont even need 80% of the stuff that they include. for instance, im bringing my own flowers.

Thanks so much for your help

Hello everyone!

I just joined the group. My fiance and I are planning to get married at the Bavaro Princess in January 2010. We didnt exactly choose the date yet since we are waiting for our wedding planner to come up with some prices. She said that it is a little bit too early for the booking and we should wait a little bit longer since its gonna be cheaper.

For the brides who already booked their wedding or for the one who got married at the beginning of January- How was it approximately? We are looking to stay from Saturday, January 9th to Saturday, January 23th. We would like to get the Princess Package- we are definately going to have the wedding in the pretty gazebo and will do the private beach party with our own music ( No DJ).

Any ideas of prices or pictures-videos of gazebo-beach party will be much appreciated:). My email adress is emiliemasse1985@gmail.com

Thank you so much!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
