We went to Manuel Antonio in Costa Rica for a family vacation 2 summers ago. We had a great time and stayed at the Marriott Los Suenos Resort. Green is a must as a wedding color in Costa Rica - it is so green there - it will be perfect!

My colors are chocolate, turquoise, white and some green.

My question is how do you incorporate the colors without overdoing it?

So far my STD were chocolate and turq.

I'm planning to get turq and white drapery on the gazebo.

My girls are going to be in either turq or chocolate.

Maybe do bows in turq. on the seats (white)

And possibly a turq. or chocolate runner or table cloth draped over white

what do you guys think? How did other incorporte colors? I'm not a wedding planner!!!

Brenda, what are you using to drape on the gazebo? Did claudia give you some ideas? I was wondering about that as well.

I think if you choose 1 or 2 colors as the main color and then throw a splash here and there of the other colors that will look really good, you don't want it to look like a circus. Maybe have the turquoise & white be the two main colors and then maybe your centerpieces can have some green or brown in them, or the favors, etc...

Well she showed us pictures of using this cloth draping around the pillars of the gazebo, it looked really really nice, I liked it more than the flowers. I wish I had pictures to send you but it was when I visited there. Ya know, I'm actually going to ask her for some more pictures. You should as well, if I get anything I'll forward them to you.

Thanks for your input....and if you have any other questions, let me know if I can help.

Oops I'm really late too ...

But, my colors are basically brown/orange/cream

My girls are wearing tangerine dresses w/cream colored sashes.

The guys are in khaki linen pants & cream colored guayabera shirts w/a brown design

The bride and groom will be in all white :)

Still trying to incorporate these colors into everything else, but I agree with jilly76 about the circus thing, I've been to weddings like that, it's too much on the eyes!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
