i used to work for a doctor and got to meet a bunch of the Philadelphia Eagles. The one year all of my coworkers were invited to a benefit party for kids in Philly put on by the Eagles. It was so cool. All of the Eagles were there and so were random celebrities like Gervais (sp) from the first Survivor and people like that. It was a great time.

 

oh, and my mom gets excited because Davey Jones from the Monkees sorta lives near her and there have been random sightings.

i have 3 that come w/ stories, but i'm sure there are more that i can't think of.

 

i'm actually related to melissa manchester (ask your parents who she is, lol, she was a very popular singer in the 70s? 60s?) we young-uns know her as the real mom on blossom - the one that lived in paris. she's my dad's 1st cousin, making her my 2nd cousin.

 

i met alanis morissette when she did the vagina monologues in the late 90s. we waited for her outside and took pics and chatted for about 2 min...but i was so dumbfounded that i don't even remember most of it.

 

i've also seen busta rhymes' balls. yes, ladies, i have! i was at the hot97 car show a few years back (7 yrs??), and he and queen latifah were riding around on their bikes. queen stopped for a few min to say hi, and then left. busta left soon after, but lifted both legs off of the bike first and...um...let's just say his friends were hanging to the left that day.

That's cool! (the Melissa Manchester, not the balls...lol) Although the balls story is hilarious! Was he not wearing drawers? Haha

DH used to work at Starbuck's when we first got together. I was shopping next door at the Gap and he called me and said Queen Latifah was in the store drinking coffee. I was in the dressing room so I didn't go see her but it was funny because that was his 1st celeb sighting so he was super excited (and he said she was very nice btw)

Steadman (Oprah's boyfriend) was on our flight to Vegas once and in the airport bar..I said to the bartender (because I'm a big Oprah fan) "Hey, that looks like Oprah's boyfriend.." He's like it is..he's in her all the time. So my friend asked if we could take a pic with him and he's like..sorry I don't do pics..I'll tell Oprah you said Hi..ha Yah right Steadboy... It was funny though my friend that we were going to Vegas for her bachelorette party saw Vince Neil in the CA airport (I think Van Halen or something) and he let them take a pic with him..ha

I met Oprah while watching a taping of her show. Sinbad is from around my area and I saw him in the mall once. We also saw the Osbornes at Vegas once. FI and I were trying to see the car show at the Wynn and went to go in a door and it was locked and they were standing outside it waiting for their car so they probably thought we were just trying to walk by them but we didn't notice until afterwards..lol

Actually Tammy (host) saw my one TV crush, Josh Holloway- that's the one I'd REALLY want to meet! The other I'd completely melt if I met - Wentworth Miller. PLEASE tell me somebody knows him and can hook me up?!?! hahaha!

Nobody too exciting for me... I was in charge of 'Artist Relations' at college for the concerts we had there. So I met the following bands: Rusted Root, Eve 6 (they were so fun!!) and Weezer. Nothing extravaggant with any of them, but Eve 6 hung out with us for about a half hour before they went to get ready for the show. Very cool guys!

This store near us, Snyders, has a HUGE event - the Snyderama - every year. They always had someone somewhat famous there... but the one that stands out from when I was 12ish is Richard Karn (Al Boreland from Home Improvement) - he loved my name. Ya kno, cause they had a character named Heidi on there!

Ooh, and when I was 2, I met Gordon from Sesame Street. My mom tells the story all the time, because apparently he said I was the cutest kid he'd ever seen. hehe

I met a local guy on Action News - Don Pollack. My sister & I were grocery shopping and ran into him. We went over & talked with him a bit, and he signed our Genuardi's receipts. hehe!

I've met loads of famous people! I was a runner when I was younger, so have met sally gunnell, tony jarrett, colin jackson, dwaine ladejo and some more i can't remember!

 

I also worked in a cinema and met robert carlysle, peter andre & jordan, british boyband blue, billy boyd from lotr, can't remember who else!

 

I support celtic football club and have met most of their players.

 

And I am going to see Backstreet Boys next month and managed to get vip ticket so going to meet them too! It's really embarrassing, but who really cares?!lol

That's funny Heidi, I wasn't even thinking them....

In that case Rick Williams and Larry Mendte are clients of mine I do they're children's pictures and when I was at my old studio, Timothy Lake was one of our clients.

Rick Williams was one of the nicest people and his son, is his mini me!

Once, in college, I was drunk in the middle of the day and week on South Street and Larry Kane was jogging right next us while we were waiting to cross the street and I said "Hey I know you....you're Dave Roberts!" He starting laughing and jogged away.... my friends kept saying all day...."Danielle I don't think that was Dave Roberts" I was certain it was. Turns out it wasn't no wonder he laughed at....ahahaha!

haha! There were so many others. My bro and SIL graduated with Carson Daly. They were both shocked when he started to get famous. They said he was pretty quiet even at parties.

Hmm there is this other guy is/was a model, Anthony Gallo. I was going through a magazine one day and came across a Pepe Jeans ad, and swore this guy looked familiar. I ripped out the pic, pulled out my year book then stalked this guy on Myspace. Yup it was him, but he tried lying about his age on MS. Funny. Did I mention that he is hot!
