Bridal Shower Day!

Recommended Posts

Wish me luck. I fought this one tooth and nail but totally lost. I didn't want a bridal shower at all 1. because I get anxiety about this kind of stuff I don't feel very comfortable being the center of attention. and 2. I just felt bad that people were spending all this money to come to our DW and than to have them spend more on bridal gifts just makes me feel bad.

Nevertheless my friends and family insisted that either I comply with their wishes to have a bridal shower and I be let in on everything or I could refuse a bridal shower and they would surprise me with one anyways.

Well I hate surprises so I decided to be "OK" with the bridal shower thing.

Alright so here we are the big day and I'm so nervous!

jackie, my advice is have a glass of champagne right beforehand cheesy.gif

i felt the same way about showers, and was told whether i wanted them or not i was getting them (already had one in mexico with FI's family & friends, and I have two more to go here in the US in june!), so i figured by complying i could cut down on my anxiety at least with the surprise element. my stepmom made a genious suggestion that she and my friend host one of my showers at my new condo, so that not all the attention will be on me because a lot of people coming wont have already seen the new place. i thought this was great, and agreed to it right away. whatever you do, just remember to breathe and try to have a little fun!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
