Tiffany Themed Wedding

Recommended Posts

Ok so I don't know if any of you ever saw In Style Wedding when they showed Toni Braxton's wedding and her whole theme was based on Tiffany's Jewelery store. I was thinking of maybe doing this for my wedding. My FI and I don't want cake, we want to get cupcakes so I was thinking of getting cupcakes to look like the Tiffany's boxes, and then doing my OOT bags in that Tiffany bluish color but instead of the TIFFANY lettering in black I would do my name on one side and my FI's on another (I think a monogram would take away from the look). I was also thinking of trying to make my tables look like the boxes the way Toni Braxton did. I figured it is a nice shade of teal or blue or whatever the technical name is for the color that I could work it in with my wedding. And white is my absolute favorite color so it work perfectly the two I think. What do you guys think? Is this cheesy? Are my guests going to laugh at me? Def want you guys to be honest.

I did see the wedding you are talking about, and I am actually learning in my cake decorating class (i just started though) how to make the small tiffany box cakes.

I think its a nice idea. The colour is beautiful, so why not. How many people are coming to the wedding? I was thinking if not too many people are coming, you can get the cheapest favour Tiffany's sells, that way they come in the boxes, just an idea, if there are not many people coming.

Glenda, I have a friend who is totally going to do the same thing. I don't think its weird, because Toni Braxton was doing a show for InStyle she has to get permission to use the color, because its a copyrighted color...so you may not be able to find exactly the right color for everything, but you will be able to find close. You know kinda like the pash's from china town, not exactly the real thing but hey pretty darn close. I think tiffany blue and white would be beautiful wedding colors

I'm going to break from the crowd a little on this one...

I totally think you should use the colors for your wedding. The blue will look great with the beach and if it's your fav I say go with it. Love it!

The only thing I might hesitate on is actually using Tiffanys as the theme, like with the boxes and stuff. I think the beach and the DW element is enough of a theme. Having both might make it seem a little muddled. If you were having a regular NY wedding I'd say do it. With the beach/DW I'd use the colors but pick a natural theme like starfish, palm trees, etc.

Okay....so I am going to be honest. I think if you do too much Tiffany it might look a little over kill. If you really want to do that theme I would try to be little reserved with the whole Tiffany theme. But that is just me. Do what ever makes you happy. It is your day. That is what I tell myself. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
