Wow, your wedding sounded sooo beautiful! My name is Jen and I'm from Queens,NY as well and if that wasn't enough of a coincidence I'm very interested in the Hilton. So I'm glad to see you and your guests had such a wonderful exerience. I was just wondering which airline did u fly down in and was it a direct flight?

Jen when I saw the pics I could tell Brendan was tearing. That is so nice that you had your grandfather's handkerchief.

We flew Continental out of Newark. It was actually a non-stop flight, which was GREAT!!! But I know there are flights on American out of JFK & LGA too.

What part of Queens are you from? I'm from Astoria (lived here my whole life.) And Glenda (who posted just after you) is from Flushing.

If you're seriously interested in the Hilton, search some of my past threads to read about my experiences. It may help you when negotiating with them. Good luck and let me know if you need any help or have any questions.

Thank you, Jen, for your speedy reply! I'm also from Flushing. I am very interested in the Hilton and I plan on looking through more of your threads for help. I was just concerened with Cabo because of the long trip and I wasn't sure if there were direct flights because I know already that some of my guests would complain about it.

Great review, you did lots of special little things which I'm sure your guests appreciated.

And don't worry, that wasn't too long (have you seen mine? yikes!)

Your wedding sounded spectacular. I love the idea of a bon fire post reception. It's sooo unique. Another perk of destination weddings!!!

The fireworks sound AMAZING! Now to see if I can, erm, borrow that idea - what a way to make the cake cutting something actually worth waiting for! (And I'm yet another queens girl - jackson heights, though I've deserted for manhattan last year. crazy, i know.)
