I'm so sorry to hear this. Your family is in my thoughts. My Grandma was also in hospice for quite a long time. We kept getting told she won't make 6 months and she made it 2 years. You'd be surprised how strong they are. It is hard. I wasn't allowed to go see my Grandmother before she passed and so when I met the hospice workers I was surprised they came to her funeral they are wonderful people to do what they do.

Alyssa, I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. As a Nurse you really dont know what a family is goiong through until it happens to you. We had to put my 27 year old cousin on home hospice. I guess it gets to a point where you really have to think of quality of life. Hospice was very supportive to my aunt and they really are wonerful.

Alyssa, that is horible. Its so sad to think how fast life can end. I think about that stuf all the time, why is it that some people live these wonderful healthy lives and others are terminally sick at all ages and sufer through their short time here. It makes me so sad, its not fair at all, I will be thinking of you and your family.

  • 2 weeks later...

well girls, my Aunt passed away yesterday sad.gif

as sad as this is, it is better for her - she slipped into a coma and has been having trouble breathing and surviving. i think it is horrible for my 2 cousins to have lost their mom the day before mother's day - i can't imagine having that memory - so sad.

it looks like the funeral will be later this week but we will not know for sure until tomorrow.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
