Ok Alex, here goes..

How did you make those flower hanging thingys?

see post in wedding review and also http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t16070

> Where did you get your fans?

Oriental Trading- i just wrapped ribbon around the handle and added an orchid

> Where did you get the sand ceremony frames, because we looked at Kohl's and couldn't find them?

I got mine at Kohls right before i left. But Target used to carry them too.

> Where did you guys go after the dinner reception?

We had lunch reception, then rented disco from 2-4, then relaxed for about 30 minutes and went to do TTD photos.

> What day was the beach party on? I ask because we are probably going to use that as the after dinner celebration?

Saturday when we were there, but i don't know if thats always the same

> Did your BM's just carry parasols or flowers too?

just parasols

> Were your flowers real? I am going to do fake ones, I have 12 rubber calla lillies now all I have to do is decorate them with fabric and jewels.

Nope, they were fake but i don't think you can tell in pics

> What suite did you stay in? Jacuzzi suite? That's the one we booked?

we booked a jr suite, but after the wedding got upgraded. Didn't get the suite with the 2story balcony roof jacuzzi but there was a jucuzzi in the room. It was super nice.

> How did you get from the airport to the resort? Our TA gives us transfers so I assume we are getting there by bus, but how was the ride?

SCAREY! But part of the experience. When you get into Montego Bay airport all of the tour companies have a little room or counter and they will show you to your bus/van.

> Did you and you BM and the rest of the girls present do anything as far as bachelorette/bridal shower events?

No, we did all that in the weeks before the wedding.

> Did you and TK stay in the same room the night before or did he leave and your girls stayed with you?

I tried to make him stay with someone else but he wouldn't leave. I did make him leave the room while i was at the salon, but he still saw me. After i finished with my hair i was starving so my BM went with me to St. Anns for a quick snack and of course TK was there with one of his GM. I tried to act like i didn't see him but i was impossible to miss b/c i had my veil in. Oh well.

> What events did you all do and what were the costs?

Dunns river- $25

Horseback on beach- $80

Canopy/Zipline- $80

Shopping- $8

Dinner Cruise- $60

> How was the Mammee Bay food? drinks? cake?

Lunch food is ok, dinner is really good. No mixed drinks served in restaurants. I didn't like the cake, but other people did.

> Did you see Michael? I am a little worried because I am almost partial to saying forget a pro photographer and just using the pics from all my guests camera, to save money and energy?

I only saw him once, all the weddings i saw that used photoshop had one of the 2 Jamiacan photogs.

> Would our iPod soundock be good enough for the ceremony?

Yep. There is an outlet on the gazebo, I assume it works. Chandlyn also has a boombox that actually sounds pretty good. I saw one wedding use it and they played steel drum music instead of hiring the band.

> What did you all do and where did you go for the welcome mixer? Did you have to pay? What did you all do after it?

We met in the lobby. TK and I got there about 30 minutes early to start claiming sofas and tables. We gave out OOT bags, took pics, and went over the day-of plans b/c somethings had changed at the last minute. Then we went to St. Anns to eat, then back to lobby bar to drink and watch the show, then to the disco.

> How was the on stage entertainment? The beach party?

I was not impressed by the entertainment, but thats probably b/c i used to be a dancer. They practice literally all day and they have a lot of choreography to learn so i do give them credit for that. I guess if you have a few drinks the show is not so bad. Beach party was ok, but it was after my wedding and i was too tired to really enjoy it. The dance competitions they do with guests are really funny though.

> How was the SPA?

All i got done was my hair. My sis went to get her nail polish redone and they didn't have one those light things you put your hands in to dry the polish. You just have to air dry. I saw a lady get a pedicure and there is no fancy spa chair, just a foot spa like what you have at home and then they put your foot on their knee to do everything. But it's Jamaica Mon! No Worries!

> Was it as humid as we originally thought?

YES!!!!

How many hours did early did you start getting ready?

hair appointment was at 7:30, but stylist were on Jamaica time.

What time was your wedding?

11am- i was just barely ready on time and in the rush forgot lots of stuff.

> Who all did you have with you when you were getting ready?

BMs and my mom and photog

> Did you use the aisle runner? I saw what I thought was flower petals, did you just get those from Michael's?

Just flower petals, i ordered them online b/c i needed a ton. I think i had 2000.

> Did you all go to Margaritaville or the disco, how was it?

Never made it to Margaritaville b/c of the weather but the disco is as much fun as you make it.

> What shoes did you wear down the aisle? What was your reception outfit?

Flip flops. Keep my dress on all day. After TTD I changed into the dress that i was suppose to trash.

I'm afraid to ask if you have any more questions!

Where did you keep your vows before you actually read them at the alter? I'm not having a wedding party, so i don;t know who to give or what to do with my vows or ring while i stand up there??
The best man had both rings and my dress actually had a hidden pocket in the side seam so i had my vows there- people started laughing when they realized i was pulling something out of my pocket. But you could ask Chandlyn to give them to the minister before the ceremony. Or have your FI put it in his jacket pocket if he is wearing a suit.

See there, I don't feel so bad I bombarded you with all those questions since others did too. I was starting to think you forgot about me when I didn't see your email, but you pulled it through mama. I actually do have a few more questions, but I will save them for tomorrow...I have a luncheon tomorrow and I gotta get up real early.

TOODLES...and thanks so much for answering my questions. BTW, where are the rest of the pictureshuh.gif Like the ones throughout the trip, not just wedding ones. I wanna see reception ones, you all at the beach, you all in the excursions...I want it all baby...lol.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
