Oh wow Sarah. I... I simply don't know what to say. And for me to be speechless is unheard of.

I simply cannot imagine why your sister would choose to do this. The damage it is going to cause in her future life is likely to be immense. I can only pray to whatever higher beings will listen that she isn't and doesn't get pregnant. She will come to her senses and hopefully will be able to walk away without having to bring a child into consideration.

I'm sure your family is absolutely beside themselves. I can't even imagine. My little brother got married at 20 and, save for the child his ex-wife was carrying at the time, it was without a doubt the single biggest mistake of his life. The repercussions of that are still very real and very serious.

You're in my thoughts and prayers, as are your sister and your family.

Wow that's crazy. Well, she just has to face the consequences later one. You make grown up decisions, you have to deal with the outcome. Man, there is so many other things she could be doing at her age. Hope she realizes that she made a big mistake sooner rather than later. You hang in there, she'll come around.

LOOOOOOOOOOOL, Maura!!!!!!! So true!

Sarah, this story is crazy!
Maybe your sister did it because your parents and fam were so against the guy, you know? Kids/younger people always want to do what they can't so maybe she acted out in anger? It was a bad choice on her part and she is prob just realizing it now. It will all work out though.
Aw, I feel bad for your Dad, but it's not his fault.

Sarah, Young people can be stupid! Im sure we have all be there in different way. I think the one thing that we can really hope for is that your sister will be truly happy and this husband of hers wont end up as much of a loser as he has proven himself to be thus far. I work on a military base and I see LOTS of marriages that just dont make it. I hope everything works out for your sister.

Its just sad that shes going to miss one of the best times in her life committed in marriage at such an early age! Heck, Im almost 30 and I sometimes wonder if Im too young!

The funny thing about all this is that my parents always told us NEVER to marry young...

Well I am the oldest and am 24 and am the last to get married LOL!!!

But mind you my other sister (Jenny, not Shelby) is 14 months younger than I but far more mature LOL. She married someone who was 30 at the time so were more than ready to get married!

Poor parents!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
