Intestinal flora refers to the bacteria that live in our guts and help breakdown food products. Without e. coli (not the bad strain that you hear about in the news from time to time), our bodies can't make vit K which is important to help our blood clot. That's why babies get a vit K shot when they are born since they don't have the intestinal flora yet. Good bacteria can help control the bad bacteria as well.

I also told her about the pics and she said "where in the hell did they get those pics" LOL So im guessing its not that bad but who know.

Anyways just thought I could let you guys know!
I am no expert ... But what the doctor mentioned was my concern with such programs. Your gut has intestinal flora... which is good bacteria that is needed to help fight off infections and help in digestion. Thats why you get stomach side effects (diarrhea, etc) when you take antibiotics which kills not only the bad bacteria but the good. So from what I can tell, you wouldn't want to do this too much... or your normal bacteria would be interrupted and you would be at greater risk of infections/other problems.

ok, I don't have poop problems. I mean I am not completely regular but I don't go for days and days without it. I wonder if it would help me at all to do it? When the doctor said if you aren't having problems don't do it... Problems how? Pooping? I think that is the most times I have ever typed out poop lol

kat its not that it wont be effective if you dont have some problems, its just that it is typically more effective for people who have issues like constipation etc etc

I'm totally in... I am about to go move into my new house. Just waiting for the moving team (my family) to get here then I won't be able to order until Monday probably. I'm just curious now. And I am at a loss on how to feel about the wormy things not coming out of me. Slightly relieved that the chances that those are in me are not good, yet slightly dissapointed LOL I know I am disgusting.

Sorry girls I'm super late to this...don't mean to be a party pooper (pun intended).

I just got my month supply two days ago. I'm going to wait until tomorrow and then start it off. I figure I can have the weekend at my apartment in case anything goes bad. I am not looking forward to drinking the nasty fiber thing. I'm so crazy that I was reading the fiber drink nutrition label and it says 30 calories for like half a spoonful or something like that and I was so pissed that I was going to be wasting calories on this nasty crap. LOL.

I just want to be regular since I rarely go and I would like to stop that bloating feeling.

I think it'll be great if a lot of us do it. cheer2.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
