I also joined WW and I have been on it for 3 weeks and lost 8lbs. I am so excited bc I had been working out and dieting (so I thought) but the scale would not budge for a couple of months. Turns out I think my portions were too big. The WW online is awesome.

Hi Ladies!

I just joined the BDW forum and just noticed this thread!!! This will be my 8th week on WW and I absolutely love it!!! I've lost 10.6 lbs so far (and 5 lbs before that on my own). My wedding is in January 2009, in Huatulco, Mexico!

I just got so pumped the other day - I saw a bunch of girls who did their Boudoir photos, and now I want to as well! This is a great way to stay motivated!!! I just really want to look good on the beach, you know??!?!

Wow! What amazing stories! I'm also a 09 bride... November 6th to be exact at Tulum, Mexico. I ordered my dress a size smaller and I've dropped 30 lbs since my MOH's wedding last August. 35 more to go... I know I can do it... especially since reading the entries here! Way to go ladies, all it takes is thinking about that little white dress/bathing suit!

Thanks for sharing the info about this website! I signed up last week and love it! It's so easy to enter your food and keep track. I haven't weighed myself to know if it's working, guess I should do that soon...blah.... I'm getting married on February 4, 2009 - less than 6 months to go! It occured to me that I better get my ars in gear because time is running out!

I need a short, realistic timeline. I only have about 10 pounds to lose, plus a bunch of tightening up/toning, so hopefully I can do that in 6 months (although it's really hard for me to lose weight for some reason).
September 2009 bride!
I think that sounds like a good idea, I might do that too. I have about 10 to lose too. Unfortunately I have less time than ever to workout because I'm working 2 jobs now to pay for this wedding. And I have a really hard time loosing weight even though I'm pretty active. (I drink too much caffeine and use the old excuse "I don't have time to eat right") shameonyou.gif Shame in me!

I've done weight watchers in the past and hopefully I can maintain the "smaller portions mentality" to get me through the next 20 pounds. I was originally thinking we'd get married in Cabo, but my fiance actually has gone from loving Dreams in Cabo to the Riu Jalisco in PV. He fell in love with the gazebo and that is all he talks about. I really need to decide on a place and get moving because Februray is right around the corner. Any advice on where to starthuh.gif
Hi! I live about 20 min north of you in Maryland. I hear you on having a hard time picking a place. I did too. My finace loved Cabo but we ended up picking (or maybe I should say I) Cancun just because we had both been there before and loved it. Plus, I really didn't feel like dragging all my guests on a five hour plane ride. I say sit down and think about what you really want, like do you want to be in an area where there are lots of things to do, or do you want something more private and remote. What kinds of activities would you like to do before/after the wedding, if any?
Good luck!

I'm not officially part of WW but I do enjoy their desserts! Anyone tried the new peanut butter cup sundae? Considering peanut butter cups are like my all time favorite food, I thought I died and went to heaven when I ate this dessert yesterday!!! I've lost 7 lbs so far and being healthy never tasted soooo good. These desserts are my little treats several times a week. YUMMY!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
