ceiba del mar hotel and spa

Recommended Posts

Woohoo Theresa I'm so excited for you!  It'll be here before you know it.  :)

Brenners -One thing that you mentioned that I wanted to expand on is the personal service from Diana and the staff.  Diana has been on top of things throughout the planning process. Not only is she attentive and helpful, she's also patient with the numerous questions and requests we've had.

What are the other resorts you're looking at?

Since they have no specific packages and everything is customized at Ceiba (which is great!), how do you know you are using the best vendors and getting the best prices?  Is there a vendor list outside of what the resort sends to assist you with this?  Also, does the WC at Ceiba assist with coordinating this or do you have to do all the leg work yourself?  Just a few questions I have before making a final decision on a site.

Brenners:

You coordinate and do the leg work.  Ceiba will help answer questions, give you referrals/recommendations, etc., but ultimately you are the one who does the work, and gets to choose.  (This appealed to me more than some other resorts that have mandatory vendors.  You have more options, and can work within your budget.)  You have the vendor list from Ceiba, but if you read about other vendors online (esp. on here), definitely check them out.  I think a few of our vendors were not on the list, but we liked the reviews we read online.  I then asked Ceiba about them, and Ceiba confirmed they were good vendors.  (And there are complete categories of vendors not even on Ceiba's list.  For those,  Ceiba has always ready and willing w/recommendations and assistance.)

As far as pricing, get quotes from the vendors you are interested in.  If it seems too high, then get quotes from others.  Shop around until you find the quality you want within the price you can afford.

My wedding is less than 4 weeks away, and thus far I have had no stress or issues working with Ceiba, or contacting/contracting with vendors.  It has been relatively easy and stress free! :)

Thanks Tweets  Do you know which threads have the list of additional vendors?  I am so happy to hear that you have had a good experience planning your wedding.  I love the idea of being able to pick and choose what we want so that is great.  Just nervous about working with vendors from a distance, however, Ceiba is great and I have only heard and seen wonderful things and weddings about them.

hello Brenners!

yes the hotel offers to their brides a list of preferred vendors that are vendors they trust and have worked at the hotel. For us, is easier work at the hotel which we already know the access, the staff and their inventory, aso we are able to suggest only complement items. The vantage is we already know what you need depending of the number of guests... Paola as a WC used to asist you coordinating the vendors, shes is really amazing and will help you in everything you need. So glad to let you know we are really good team. Planner 1 works in several hotels in Cancun and Riviera Maya and Ceiba is the one of the Hotels we enjoy most!!

In case you have any doubt or need any further information, please let me know.

Kindly regards

Gabi

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
