If you need any information about furniture rental, decor set ups, flowers and Dj we can send a lot of photos from the hotel with our equipment! You will love it all!! We have very good rates and now we are launching on September super discounts celebrating our anniversary. You can keep being a savvy bride :)!!

We have worked closelly with Diana and Paola several weddings and events at the Hotel, so we know each amazing place of this beautiful hotel!

We are really looking forward to staying there now!

Hello,

We work closely with Paola and this is the main thing -  a good partnership between the hotel WC and the outside Wplanner

Would love to send you some ideas for your wedding and create a special package for you which includes everything from Dj, to flowers to our UNIQUE lounge to chill-out.

Regards,

Hello! Hope you are all doing well! It's been a while so I though I'd check in. Our wedding is just over 6 months away, and I finally feel like we have made some progress. We have almost 62 rooms booked!  A few questions:

1) Are any Americans doing a legal ceremony in Mexico? If so, just curious if this was a huge pain?  Can you still have a family friend/relative do the ceremony?

2) We are having the rehearsal dinner on the beach one night and our wedding on the terrace.  I guess we have to get lighting for both. Has anyone looked into this? If so, any recommendations?

3) Any tips on DJs or guitarist for the ceremony?  We are looking into DJ Mannia and Javier for the ceremony.

4) For the rehearsal dinner, we were thinking of getting steel drums. Does anyone have any recommendations or an idea on how much this costs?

5) For dinner we were thinking of the 3 course plated menu---wondering if anyone else has decided what they are doing or any recommendations from people who were married there?

Whoo hoo. Making progress finally!

This is a VERY delayed reply to your post - sorry!

1)  We are currently booked for a legal ceremony.  A judge must perform it for it to be legal, and you cannot really personalize/incorporate any readings, prayers, etc.  You do exchange rings, and you can say your own vows, but other than that it is out of your hands and up to the judge.  Have you looked into the legalities of it for when you return?  I know the US government recognizes foreign marriages so long as the marriage is legal in the foreign country.  However, I am having problems with finding out what NY state recognizes, etc.  Just curios what you know...

2)  We are having Planner1 hang white chinese lanterns on the terrace for the reception, along with candles on the tables and tiki torches in the sand.  We have not yet decided where the rehearsal dinner will be.  What did you decide to do for lighting?

3)  We booked Javier and DJ Doremix.  Both were very responsive.

4) We decided on a mariachi for the rehearsal dinner.  The drums sound great though!

5) I think we are going for 3 course as well - beef and fish option.

62 rooms is excellent!  The whole resort will be your friends and family!  We have 29 rooms/56 guests so far... 3 months away!

My FI and i just looked at CDM today and we were in love with it!  I love that they only have one wedding per day so that you have run of the place for your special day!  We need to review the information and ask additional questions as well as go through pros and cons of each place that is in the running but I would definitely stay there for a vacation in the future!

We felt the same way after our site visit.  Diana was away on business while we were there, but we met with others who were very helpful and showed us around.  Diana then followed up our visit with a phone call to discuss what we thought, our questions, etc.  We have been very happy thus far, and glad we chose Ceiba! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
