Thank you everyone for all these greats posts! I just started researching hotels in Maya Riviera and Ceiba Del Mar is at the top of the list. I have only heard great things about this hotel and their planners. I am just hoping we can get reasonable room rates for our guests. I am also talking to destinationweddings.com to see if they can get good discounts on this hotel. I will keep you all posted.

We stayed here last May and the resort is beautiful and the food is excellent! They serve the freshest fish in HUGE pieces. If I hadn't felt that the room prices might be too steep for some of our guests I would have loved to have my wedding here.

I stayed at the Ceiba del Mar 4 years ago (before I met FI) and it was SO ROMANTIC! The food was fabulous, the spa treatments were amazing, and I loved the European feel of the hotel. If you're looking for a quaint boutique hotel away from the touristy parts of Mexico, this hotel will be paradise. I didn't want to leave! I thought about mentioning this hotel to my FI for our honeymoon.....but then realized it's be WEIRD to go to the resort with 2 different men. Ha!

We are sad to see Denise leave. We recently shot a KILLER wedding there, Karim & Jennifer...this was one of Denise's last events.

They were married in the local chapel in Puerto Morelos. I love this place, very dramatic lighting and the space is wide open. ONLY problem, its HOT, so don't think this will be an ok option in the Spring / Summer unless you want to sweat

Her review on Trip Advisor really speaks RAVES about Ceiba... This place is literally, one of our favorite spots.

 

The rooftop views of the ocean are to die for, just wow! We hope Lilia is getting settled in!

I got married here in February and would not recommend it to anyone. It is a beautiful resort, but looks can be deceiving.

I totally agree! I am in the process of legal negotiations with Ceiba... girls...WATCH OUT FOR THE FINE PRINT... With Denise leaving (she was handling my wedding) the new rooms manager is looking into possible criminal activity with how they handled the cancellation of my wedding! BEWARE... BEWARE... Wow, I wouldn't expect anybody actually criminally doing wrong intentionally here.

 

With the turnover of staff in any business, expect bumps in the road. This hotel is highly respected within the industry and they are in the business to PLEASE their customers, hospitality is the root of their success.

sounds like something I'd read on tripadvisor that is pretty unprecedented, without statistics and lacking individual characteristics to back up points. Perhaps a few details?

 

We vote Ceiba del mar (NOT PAID TO SAY THIS EITHER). Seriously folks, its one of our top fav places to shoot at!
