1 song or 2 - Walking down the aisle...

Recommended Posts

I am trying to figure out if bridesmaids and myself should walk down the aisle to the same song or not. 5 bridesmaids and myself.

I was thinking 2 songs... but what happens when the bridesmaid have all walked down, and the song is still going... do they just stop it? And then it will only take me like... a minute to walk down... then the song gets cut off again?

i have been listenening to songs, timing myself walking down the hallway. ARGH I am sooo confused!

The songs will most likely have words (i have not chosen the song/s yet) so maybe 1 song is better to avoid cutting off 2 songs? What is everyone else doing...

1 song or 2?

HELP!

if you are choosing a song with words, i say probably one song. for me, i am going to have 2 songs, because i will be playing classical pieces, one for the bridesmaids and then another for myself to distinguish between them and me.

If you are having words you should make sure you tell your WC that. Find out how long the song(s) are that you are playing and then try to time it to the music. It might be easier to go with some classical pieces (that's what I did) And they faded it in and out so it wasn't an ubrupt(sp?) stop.

I think i want two songs.. I want the girls to walk down to Somewhere over the rainbow (the beachy one from 50 first dates) and for me I was going to walk down to oh crap I forgot waht i was going to walk down too... maybe just the traditional Cannan D.. or maybe I will switch that.. girls down on Cannon D and me.. somewhere over the rainbow.. hmm.. great!

2 for us as well. I'm going to work with the timing with the dj, so that the bridal party entrance song is allowed to play out completely by the time the last girl comes down. Then my song which will likely be shortened a bit...but you can fade out a song after any chorus so that it sounds natural...just a matter of timing. I like the idea of having my own song, and since I couldn't make up my mind and settle on just one, this is better.

Just one song - my brother is a terrific trumpet player, so he's playing Trumpet Voluntary as I walk down the aisle. Lucky for me he's musically inclined, so he's putting together a special version just for me. Our MOH and BM will already be at the altar along with FI, so I just needed a song for me and my dad.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
