Diversion Safe, Diversion Safes, Can Safe, Can Safes, Water Bottle Safe, Brief Safe, Underwear Safe, In-Home Security

Some of these could work for smaller items. (money, rings, etc) Not the pop cans or any bevaerage containers because cleaning staff could mistake them for garbage & throw them out... but the hairspray can or shaving cream can (or dirty undies like someone already posted! lol) could work!

Vacation Vault | Keep Your Valuables Safe

My friend has actually purchased one of these "vacation vaults" but I'm not sure how it went. She planned on bringing it to the pool in her beach bag with her & leaving it in her suitcase in the room.

Hmmm...good thread. I've always trusted the hotel safes, but now I am not so sure. I also usually lock my luggage up and then lock the suitcase to the dresser/chair or refrigerator handle. Technically they could get into the suitcase by either cutting the lock or damaging the suitcase, which in that case could prove that someone got in there. Would you trust this more than the safe?

Wedding rings are a concern too especially because mine is white gold and therefore can't go in the pool (chlorine makes the gold brittle). I'll keep an eye on this thread for any good tips.

One of the PP asked if there is a difference between combo locks and key locks? Does anyone know which one is safer? I think I'm going to be adding locks to my OOT bags. Plus, what about the water-proof containters from OT? Are they really waterproof?

Just a thought - Maura and I had dinner the other night, and got to talking about this. While I agree that you shouldn't trust your safe, you SHOULD put something in there. If they decide to break into the safe, and there's nothing in it, you can bet they are going to start going thru the room.

So, leave some money and some costume jewelry, maybe an ancient camera or something.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
