Italian music suggestions

Recommended Posts

My FI is a first generation American and I would like to compile a surprise list of Italian songs to be played during the reception in Jamaica as well as the AHR in July. Does anyone have any suggestions for artists or songs?

Hi Carly - I have a TON of Italian music too. Like Maura, I lived there for quite a while.

Let me know what type of music you want (traditional, pop, rock, love songs, etc.) and PM me an e-mail address and I'll get you some selections as well.

I just checked my iTunes - I've got over 1,000 songs in italian. I'm pretty sure I can get you some that will suit your purposes!

Abbie - That's Amore. "When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore" Or something like that. I know what you mean!

Glenda - what in the world is that? I read it as tarantula (spider)?

Hmmm, found what it means, and I guess not, since I never heard of it!

Tarantella

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In music and dance tarantella most commonly refers to a traditional or folk dance which though Neapolitan is named for the city of Taranto in Southern Italy and often features a lively compound duple meter or 6/8 time. The term tarantella, however, refers to two dances[1] "whose origins are as different as their characteristics"[2]. The folk dance originating in Naples, originally stately, is often confused with dancing involved in the condition of tarantism named for Taranto, and the latter may mistakenly be called tarantella, possibly leading to later confusion in which Neapolitan tarantellas are treated as ecstatic or agitated rather than stately.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
