hey ladies just thought id share some pics from the rosewood mayakoba. i stopped by there when i was in RM for a wedding last week. this place is the bomb! the staff and service unbelievable. we werent even staying there and they gave us a tour and took us in a suite. there are pics on my blog but i will post them here too in case you dont want to go there. if you dont know rosewood resorts are the chain that owns las ventanas in cabo. how nice they have a counterpart in riviera maya now!!!! even if you dont consider it for a wedding it would be a great honeymoon spot. recently tom and katie stayed there.

it is amazing. i have stayed at las ventanas before and i think this place might even top it. tulio took us into one of the lagoon suites which is the most basic one they have. gorgeous!!! rooftop lounge area. private little pool on the deck. the bathtub is to die for. indoor and outdoor shower. the service at rosewood resorts is superb! and when you arrive at the mayakoba they take you to your suite on a boat through the lagoon!!! thats fernando driving the boat. he gave us about an 1/2 tour of the place and took us to one of the 3.5 million dollar residences they have for sale and gave us a tour. it was featured in architectural digest last fall.

really i promise you cant go wrong with this place.

Hi Leigh, how´s it going? I can´t wait to see your photographs of the wedding! I have not been to the Rosewood but I photographed a wedding at the Fairmont Mayakoba, which is part of the same development. I agree it is fabulous, the rivers run all through the hotel and the water is clear and beautiful, there is jungle all around with lots of wildlife. You can take a boat taxi or golf cart to get around, or you can just grab a bike along the side of the path and leave it at your destination. The bride at my wedding was taken by boat to the ceremony, so amazing! Here is the slideshow from the wedding if anyone would like to check out this dream location.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
