The girl I had was AWESOME. She asked for my input but for the most part went with her ideas - which was totally want I wanted. I've never known if I've been picking the right colors for my skin/eyes/hair so I really wanted someone to tell me what would look best on me. To top it all of she gave me a VERY detailed step by step instruction guide for how to put it on.

Here are pictures: (little more shiny than right after, but we ran some errands and it's 112 here, so ....)

I would go to the LM counter. I personally didn't have a great experience at Sephora. The girl wanted me to pick my eyeshadow, blush, etc. I was like "um no, I don't know what colors look best" She didn't seem to know either.

The girl at LM, was incredible. Even drew out what to use in which order, where to apply, which brushes to use, etc. And she told me why she was doing what she was doing, what teqniques to use for each product. I had a great experience there.

Steph - your makeup looks great! I need something for shiny skin! I swear, when I look in the mirror, my skin doesn't look shiny, but in photographs - I always have this huge shine on my forehead!

I was going to go to the Mac Counter and have my makeup done. Since I have a darker complexion, I feel like I should wear a little more makeup to show up on photos.

Right now I use tinted moisturizer from Proactiv. It has sunscreen in it so maybe that's why I always feel like my makeup doesn't stay. I need some serious make up help before the wedding!

I agree, I would go to the LM counter. Like Tara said the lady there was very helpful and wrote everything out. She even would do one eye and let me do the other so I could get the technique down with her watching me. Maybe you could go to Sephora for re-fills on the make up. I dont know how their prices compare.

Thanks Celina! Their foundation is great! and I got the Bronze gel too to add to the foundation for the summer when I am a tan.

I talked to fsil, we are going to go to LM and check it out. They have an LM counter at the Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom about 40 minutes from us. We'll have to make a day out of it.
I love the bronzer for those tan times of the year.

Great excuse to have a girls day!! After you get all done up you should go out to eat or something!! Put the hot new make up to good use!! cheers.gif

Tara, your make-up looks great! Did you buy any of it?

I used the bronzer for the wedding and I really liked it. Someday I will post my review with pictures.....I have only been married for like 3 weeks and I have been promising my review 2 days after we got back. I am such a slacker!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
