Guests inviting guests?

That's frustrating...  I don't even know what to say to that.  I have had a few people ask and I have been totally okay with it because I get that it's cheaper for them to room with someone than to room individually and it will be more fun for them to have another friend there since we will not be accessible the whole time.  I think as long as you make it clear that they can go, but your list is very small because you want an intimate setting with only those you know well, people should understand...I hope.  All of my people have been understanding and have told me first that they will not go to the wedding, they will occupy themselves during the events.  Hopefully you are able to work it out.  rolleyes.gif

How rude...I don't understand people sometimes and I don't see how they would think that is okay. It's your wedding. If those people that you don't know want to come to the island, tell them to go ahead and plan the vacation, but you only invited who you knew and wanted to be at the wedding. I would tell them they could even come to the island the same week of the wedding(after all, it's a public place), but invitations to the actual wedding events are exclusive to those people invited.

I'm actually having this problem a bit too. My brother's wife(who I don't even like, but invited b/c she's my SIL) decided it was okay to invite 'her' WHOLE family because they've never been to Europe...and she has a big family! I hardly even know them, and most of them I never even met.  I understand your situation; some people just don't have a clue.

Hope everything turns out okay and best wishes on the wedding.

Thanks for the support girls!  I think it's all worked out (for us anyway!)  My FI took sometime returning the call.....then said call me "when you can talk."  They must of sensed that it wasn't anywhere near "Ok" with us.  So for now it is a none issue.  When cocktails are flowing I'm sure there will be a little dig throw our way.  I really don't care!  NO NO NO thank you very much!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
