Beginner Bride - Estimate Help!

Recommended Posts

Hey there,

You can take a look at some of my pics on the ROR Pictures thread. Here is what I spent:

Free Wedding Package ($250)

White wooden chairs: $105 ($5/ea)

Upgrade to flowers on site and bouquet: $300

Hair: $80

Open Bar @ Seagrape: $230

Steel Band for 1hr: $250 (pretty sure it was $250, not $350)

Caprice Photo Pkg: $180

$50 additional photos: $400

Total: $1795

Tips not included . . .

The only thing I would have differently - get the band for another hour!

im glad i started this thread too because you guys have already been so helpful as far as providing me with quotes. twelve piece, although you're now married PLEASE don't leave the forum. i feel like you may be able to help me a lot as far as getting this thing under a wrapped budget.

im excited but worried as far as this whole budget crisis and money spending thing goes.
The band played a lot of Bob Marley songs, but I'm sure they take requests! Everyone in Jamaica is extremely accommodating.

Don't stress about the budget too much- you can have your dream day on any budget. Our budget was 6k and we ended up spending closer to 8k- but that includes EVERYTHING. Dresses(me and BMS), rings, 10 days in Jamaica, gifts, tips, excursions, OOT bags, professional photography ....... you just have to decide whats the most important

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
