veil or no veil-that is the question

Recommended Posts

I picked "other" because I'm planning to do it all!!

If it weren't for all of these gorgeously romantic pics around here of beautiful veils blowing in the breeze, or wrapped around smiling faces, I wouldn't even give a veil a passing thought. BUT, with photo opps in mind, I'm going to wear one for the day after shoot, then take it off...same thing with hair flowers. I plan to perhaps start my ttd shoot with one in, but remove it as we go. But I'm only doing them for my day after/TTD photos. I get hot easy, and don't want anything extra on me that I can't throw off if I want to.

I hate the idea of regretting NOT doing something...so....overkill? lol

Veil all the way! You could totally experiment with different looks from the different types of veils out there.

so many options! you could do a virginal look with a cathedral veil, or go totally chic with a short one.

the options are up to you! just go try them on with your dress. you'll love it! =)

I'm definitely going to do a veil. We are getting married in a church and I have ALWAYS wanted a cathedral length veil with lace around the edges. So I think I'm going to do it ; ) But thanks to this thread I'm now considering flowers in my hair for the reception (best of both worlds)

So I think I am really into the bird cage veil and was wondering if anyone else is wearing one, or where to buy one... I would even love it if you have photos of someone or yourself wearing one.

I really am falling in love with this look and my wedding has a vintage theme and feel it would be a great touch. I am a little unsure if I can pull it off though.

Thoughts anyone....

i'm all about the veil! i think the bird cage veil is classic and a must! the only thing about them is that they work sooo much better indoors. bird cage veils have a tendency to stick to your face (because of the lipstick) when its windy. they would make killer photos, though! i say go for it and have a back-up veil just in case the makeup does go all over your face.

sometimes i think just because it's a DW some brides just shy away with the veil. i think they are such integral part of a wedding and they are what makes a white dress, BRIDAL. IMHO. everyone has a different taste and i understand that. this is just my opinion. :)

Joy you rock. I may just do that. Use the bird cage for the ceremony and photos but have a back up. I honestly don't even know if I can pull it off, but I do love them. I love how different they are and sexy.

I am so excited to hear you will aslo be going to bora bora. Would love to chat about any other ideas you are working on or feedback.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
