veil or no veil-that is the question

Recommended Posts

I haven't decided either. I wanted a veil but then decided I didn't because of the wind and I didn't want to cover the back of my dress. Now I am thinking that I will decide after I get my dress.

I'm having a veil. The length will depend on the dress I get.

I love the long cathedral veils but I dont want to overpower my dress.

I don't know what dress I am getting yet, so once the dress is decided then I will look at veils

I'm going to have small roses weaved into my hair

I'm going to wear a veil. I had ordered a headband to go with it but when it came in the mail it totally did not match. I was disappointed but decided I'd rather my veil over the headband any day. Also, I planned on initially wearing the veil up under a bun in my head, and have decided since to wear my hair half-up, with the veil higher on my head.

sigh. the things we change!

I tried on a cathedral length mantilla with my dress and totally fell in love! Our ceremony will be in the Catholic Church in San Jose del Cabo, so I think its pretty appropriate to the setting. I haven't bought a veil yet. I'm waiting for my dress to come in first. I ordered the dress back in December'07 but it was going to take about 6-7 months to be made in the material I choose, so technically, I haven't even seen my actual final product...ugh I'm getting nervous now. I think veils are fun though, and when else will you get to wear one!?

I wore a veil for the church ceremony and then I was going to take it off and wear flowers for the sand ceremony. However, my florist showed up late and didn't bring half the flowers that he was supposed to including my hair flower (which were going to be orchids). But I really loved how my veil fluttered through the wind. I still would have loved to wear flowers for the reception though. I will be sure to do that for my AHR.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
