veil or no veil-that is the question

Recommended Posts

Is there any way to incorporate the matching lace with the netting and have it kind of like AnnR's veil was, just off the back and not a full looking veil that covers up your flower? Does that even make sense? I know what I mean but let me see if I can find a pic..

This is the only time you will EVER get to wear a veil, that is what made me decide I wanted one, and I was soooo happy with it. I loved my veil and it was lace.

Here are some pics, just so you can see what my lace veil looked like.

i love that dress!

i would say get a different veil. a simpler one would look gorgeous with your dress, but i am worried a lace one would take over everything.

but julieg you pulled your lace veil off wonderfully! i normally think they are too much (for me) but yours is great!

I am actually using AnnR's hairstyle. I love how you can see the flowers inderneath her veil. The problem is that the lace is really heavy, and has a lot of detailing. We put my flowers underneath 1 layer, and you could hardly see it. So, if I go that route, you won't see the flowers until after I take off my veil.

I will have to post a pic of the lace. I love how yours looks, but the lace I have has a lot of detail all over. It is hard to describe. FI has the camera. I will try to get a pic and post it when he gets home later tonight.

Thanks for the pics!!!

Wearing a veil is a personal preference and I originally thought I wasn't going to wear one, UNTIL i actually put one on and it was like WOW. It just completed the look to me. Oh and I LOVE your dress! So awesome. My dress is similar in that it is slimfitting and there is intricate beading and lace on the dress and I found that the simple cathedral veil is what complimented it most. It didn't over power the dress, so perhaps you could change the material and still use flowers. For me, I am a nervous person and I need something in my hands. Not sure if I will use flowers or a parasol for me as well, but I KNOW I will need something keeping my nervous hands busy during the ceremony...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
