Oh Tammy! You do great and wonderful things. I'm sure there's already a portrait of you hanging in the hall of the doggie gods.

I'm sorry you're missing Elsie. She is absolutely beautiful. Her new mommy and daddy look like really nice people.

Long story short, we thought we were going to have to put him to sleep because he couldn't move, we had to spoon feed him water, and manually express his bladder, we finally decided to try one last thing, Acupuncture on him, sure enough he started to respond to the treatment. We ended up keeping him for 2 months until he was able to pee on his own, and move around better, the perm foster home felt that moving him back with them in their 4 dog house hold would only delay his progress. Once he was almost back to normal he went back home with his perm foster family, who actually ended up adopting him. :-) After that we just new we wanted to help more and started fostering on a regular basis.
Wow, what a commitment you've made to these sweet dogs. We are so impressed. We are big believers in acupuncture. My husband was in a helicopter crash several years ago and has a cyst inside his spinal cord. Lately his pain level had been about an 8, but after weekly acupuncture, it's down to a 1!

I'm a big believer of acupuncture, it helped me when I was injured and of course the dog we cared for. I'm glad to hear your husband is responding well to it, it's sad that most insurance companies don't think of acupuncture as a real way to treat people, hopefull that will change in the future. GL to your hubby, I hope he continues to be pain free.

In Kentucky acupuncture isn't readily available. It can only be practiced by a licensed medical physican. I'm glad you had such good luck and so did the puppy. My MOH had a similar situation with her daschund. He became paralyzed after jumping off the couch. They ended up having to fly him to a specialist in Dallas for a $6000 back surgery!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
