We are getting married at the Riu in Varadero Cuba January 13th, 2014.
Oh awesome! I am getting married next door at the laguna Azul in may! So excited! If you're interested we have a thread for brides getting married in Varadero. Just search iberostar laung Azul brides 2013/2014 if you are interested. Its not just for ILA brides, since there only so many Cuba brides we have other brides from varadero as well!

We have not decided yet, we will find out this Saturday, Thank goodness!. I am super excited to just pick a place already. Finding a place seems to be the most stressful! Only because the last travel agents we have seen keep coming back with prices $1,500 and up not including taxes and I really wanted to keep it around $1,200 with tax.

Ohh so exciting! Which resorts are you looking at if you don't mind me asking! You should definitely be able to find one in Cuba for under 1300$. We got ours for under 1200$ including taxes! and we are going to Iberostar Laguna Azul in May!

I went to the Iberostar Laguna Azule last August, beautiful hotel!

At this point I am fairly easy going as long as it's a hotel that is kept up well/not  run down and I would really like a 5 star hotel as hotels are a little differnt in Cuba but I really like the the Melia Las Dunas hotel my parents went there and loved it! and I think its beautiful but its a little far for any kind of day trips and my FI loves RIU hotels (right next to yours)

Yeah I looked at the Melia Las Dunas... They seem to do an amazing job with weddings and I would have liked to have it there, but we decided its just too far removed from anything else. A lot of our guests haven't been to Cuba before so I wanted to be close to Havana. The Playa Pesquero in Holguin is also a great resort for weddings! We were there two years ago and just loved it! Were thinking of going there, but eventually decided Varadero was where we wanted to go... My FI hasn't been to Varadero and we wanted to Havana. I am sure which ever one you choose will be amazing! We have a Cuba thread.. it says its for Iberostar Laguna Azul brides but we really have all brides from Cuba lol cause there aren't many of us if you're looking for a Cuba thread!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
