bouquet home?

Recommended Posts

I don't think the rules are different - She was prepared to have it confiscated and told them that it was her bridal bouquet and they let her through - might jsut depend on your customs official..

depends on the airport xray people too who do your bags, but i would not advise anyone to count on being let through. here in chicago, customs agents are extremely strict about what you can and cant have -- i go back and forth enough between here and mexico and i have seen so many people get many things confiscated. even if you are a bride, i would NOT count on the customs people being nice and letting you keep it.

Maura is right. You cannot bring plants, flowers, etc...back to the US.

Actually, I used to fly Air Tahiti Nui from LA to Paris and they used to give us a flower in the flight but they have stopped a couple of years ago because US customs did not want the airline to have flowers while in Transit in LA.

As I stated in another post, you can try but they will throw it away if they find it.

I brought back Shawn's Bout. My bouquet was destroyed from the heat and the salt water... but his bout was pretty good. We went through the Cancun airport just fine and the Chicago airport just fine. They didn't care at all. With that said, it was one single rose. I'm pretty sure if I had my whole bouquet in there they might have said something!

I just got back from Jamaica a few weeks ago and I brought my bouquet, his bout. , stem of orchids, red rose and my cake.

I carried the cake in a box and the flowers were in my carry-on. I even told customs I had flowers and they let me go through without any problem.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
